A grand jury in North Carolina has indicted a 17-year-old girl, Sarah Lindsey Santiago, on suspicion of aiding and abetting a May 18 mosque shooting in San Diego. Santiago faces three counts of murder and one count of conspiracy for allegedly livestreaming the attack, disseminating the recording, and releasing the attackers' manifesto. Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O'Neill stated that state charges were brought to try her as an adult, potentially leading to a life sentence without parole. The two assailants, Caleb Vazquez and Cain Clark, who killed three people—security guard Amin Abdullah, caretaker Mansour Kaziha, and Nadir Awad—committed suicide after the attack.
