‘Not another meal, but a key’: Building a home for lone IDF soldiers

The Arzieli Association, led by Kfir Traube, is establishing a new home in Ariel for lone IDF soldiers, including new immigrants, Israeli-born individuals lacking family support, and Haredi soldiers. This initiative addresses the challenges these soldiers face, particularly during holidays, when they lack a stable place to go. Traube noted, "Not to give him another meal, but to give him a key." The project aims to provide a permanent, supportive environment where soldiers can feel at home, offering a consistent address, shared meals, and assistance with personal matters, rather than just temporary accommodation. The goal is to ensure that when a commander says, "You're released, go home," lone soldiers have a definite place to return to.
