NSC warns terror threats against Israelis, Jews continue to rise ahead of High Holy Days

The National Security Council (NSC) has issued a warning regarding increased terror threats against Israelis and Jews globally, particularly ahead of the 2026 High Holy Days and the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre. This assessment, while not a new travel warning, highlights broadened threats due to ongoing confrontations with Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, alongside rising anti-Israel rhetoric. Iran and its proxies are identified as the primary global threat, with Hamas actively establishing terror infrastructure in Europe. The NSC advises Israelis to avoid displaying Jewish identifiers or speaking Hebrew prominently, and to exercise caution at Jewish and Israeli gathering places. Specific countries like Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the UAE are noted for Iranian terror activity, while Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland, and Egypt remain under Level 4 travel warnings.
