NYPD releases footage of suspects in two hate crime attacks on synagogues

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) released video footage on Monday, July 18, of two suspects wanted in connection with hate crime attacks on two Orthodox synagogues in Queens on July 16. The suspects allegedly threw bags of motor oil at Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and Young Israel of Holliswood, causing property damage. The NYPD is seeking public assistance to identify the individuals. Rabbi Moshe Taub of Young Israel of Holliswood stated, "We will continue to gather proudly, pray together and strengthen our community with dignity, faith and resilience." Adam Orlow, president of Young Israel of Jamaica Estates, affirmed that "while this incident is disturbing, it will not intimidate us or change who we are."
