Ofer Winter, unification of Arab parties, shake up Knesset seats, push RZP below threshold – poll

A recent Maariv poll indicates that Ofer Winter's entry into politics and the unification of three Arab parties are significantly altering the Israeli political landscape. Winter's new "People of Israel" party is projected to win five seats, pushing the Religious Zionism Party below the electoral threshold. The unification of Hadash-Ta'al and Balad strengthens the Arab parties' bloc to 13 seats. The poll, conducted by Lazar Research and Panel4ALL from August 16-27, also shows that the Zionist opposition bloc now holds 59 seats, while the coalition bloc, including Winter's party, stands at 48 seats. Additionally, 74% of Israelis are dissatisfied with the public education system, and 62% of parents are concerned about content in schools that does not align with their values. In terms of prime ministerial suitability, Gadi Eisenkot leads Benjamin Netanyahu 48% to 37%.
