One killed, one seriously injured in latest among series of fatal road accidents in Israel
The fatal collision near Rechasim came amid a series of serious road accidents across Israel in recent days.
A man in his 30s died and a woman in her 40s was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision on Route 762 near Rechasim on Sunday. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams pronounced the man dead at the scene and transported the woman to Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa with abdominal and lower limb injuries. MDA emergency medical technician Avi Boyar described it as "a very serious traffic accident." This incident follows other fatal accidents in September, including two deaths and six injuries over one weekend, a hit-and-run on Route 553, and a motorcyclist's death on Route 7. Additionally, a four-year-old boy was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Jerusalem's Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood.
