Online forms urged people to report presence of Israeli citizens, Italian Jews in tourist areas

Online forms circulated, urging individuals to report the presence of Israeli citizens and Italian Jews in Italian tourist accommodations. Walker Meghnagi, president of the Jewish Community of Milan, condemned these forms, stating, "I think we're going back to the 1930s, to hunting Jews." The forms, which asked for details on locations and whether local groups were "managing the phenomenon," were removed following intervention by Italy's National Coordinator for the Fight Against Antisemitism, General Pasquale Angelosanto. The Global Sumud Movement, named in the form, denied involvement. Deputy Secretary of State Alessandro Morelli called the forms "abhorrent," emphasizing that "those responsible must not go unpunished."
