Opposition bloc led by Eisenkot would win narrow 61-seat majority – poll

A recent Channel 13 poll indicates that an opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot could secure a narrow 61-seat majority in the Knesset, allowing it to form a government. Eisenkot's Yashar party is projected to win 21 seats, just behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud with 22. The anti-Netanyahu bloc also includes Naftali Bennett's Together (15 seats), Yair Golan's Democrats (11), Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu (10), and Yoaz Hendel's new alliance (4).

"This is a jarring final note for this Knesset term. For years, election laws were passed with broad agreement. Unfortunately, we are forced to vote against this bill because you refused to ensure accessible and fair elections for every citizen," said Yesh Atid MK Karine Elharrar.

Meanwhile, the current coalition is reportedly considering measures to influence the upcoming October 27 elections, including limiting incoming flights to Ben Gurion Airport to deter opposition voters and advancing a bill to end polling booths in elderly living facilities, a demographic largely voting against Netanyahu.
