Opposition Zionist bloc led by Eisenkot would win narrow 61-seat majority – poll

A recent Channel 13 poll indicates that a Zionist opposition bloc, led by Gadi Eisenkot, could secure a narrow 61-seat majority in the Knesset, enabling it to form a government. This marks the first major poll in over a month to show such a result, with Eisenkot's Yashar party projected to win 21 seats, just behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud at 22 seats. The anti-Netanyahu bloc also includes Naftali Bennett's Together (15 seats), Yair Golan's Democrats (11 seats), Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu (10 seats), and a new alliance led by Yoaz Hendel and Chili Tropper (4 seats).

• The current coalition is reportedly exploring measures to influence the upcoming October 27 elections, including limiting incoming flights to Ben Gurion Airport to potentially reduce voter turnout for opposition parties.
• Additionally, the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, with a coalition majority, has advanced a bill to end the placement of polling booths in elderly living facilities, a move criticized by the opposition as partisan.
