Otzma Yehudit targets disappointed Likud, Shas voters ahead of election

Otzma Yehudit is targeting disillusioned Likud and Shas voters, aiming to attract a broad audience including ultra-Orthodox, religious, traditional, and secular Israelis, as well as soldiers. Party officials stated, "Anyone whose heart is on the right side of the political map is welcome to join us." Concurrently, the party plans a campaign against forming a "broad government" post-election, advocating instead for a "fully right-wing government." This strategy seeks to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from within Likud, capitalizing on dissatisfaction among some right-wing Likud voters following recent primaries and the sidelining of certain figures. Otzma Yehudit believes this approach could yield several Knesset seats, with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir claiming that eight senior Likud figures, including four ministers, had approached him about joining Otzma Yehudit.
