Owner of San Francisco 49'ers, Leeds, Rangers busted in prostitution crackdown

Jed York, owner of the San Francisco 49ers and co-owner of Leeds and Rangers football clubs, pleaded no contest to reduced charges in Ohio following his Sunday arrest. Originally suspected of engaging in prostitution, prosecutors amended the charge to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, believed to be a cell phone used to respond to a prostitution advertisement. York, 46, was arrested in East Palestine by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He received a one-day jail sentence for each count, credited with time served, and paid a $1,150 fine. The NFL has not yet commented on the matter, which falls under the league's personal conduct policy.
