Pahlavi: Iran regime continues to erode from within as defections grow

Iran's exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi stated Saturday that the Islamic Republic's regime is experiencing an "active defection" phase, with military and civilian members quietly breaking away. Speaking at the "Cyrus the Great II" gathering in Toronto, Pahlavi claimed that these individuals are using secure channels to distance themselves from the regime, remaining outwardly within the system while ceasing to perform their expected functions, thereby "eroding the pillars of repression from within." He emphasized that the opposition has regrouped and expanded its networks inside Iran since the January uprising, becoming "more experienced, more cohesive and more determined today than ever before." Pahlavi also asserted that the opposition is united by four core principles, including Iran's territorial integrity and the separation of religion and government. Canadian Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre also spoke at the event, advocating for stronger Canadian action against individuals linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
