Pakistani defense minister warns Islamabad of Israel-India military partnership
Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said their defense cooperation has evolved over several decades and should not be seen as a recent development.
Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that Israel and India have a long-standing military partnership against Pakistan, calling them Islamabad's "true and eternal enemies." His comments, made in an interview with The Independent's Urdu edition, followed revelations by former Israeli Air Force officers about Israel's military assistance to India during the 1999 Kargil War. These officers, Ami and Shlomo, disclosed that Israel expedited the integration of Litening Targeting Pods and other systems on India's Mirage 2000 fighter jets during the conflict. Asif asserted that this cooperation "existed before Kargil, continued throughout the conflict, and remains in place today." He also claimed that India used Israeli-made Harop loitering munitions in drone attacks against Pakistani cities in May 2025.
