Palestinian terrorist indicted over 2007 West Bank murder of Israeli civilian

A Palestinian man, Shadi Jumaa, has been indicted for the 2007 murder of Israeli civilian Ido Zoldan in a West Bank shooting attack. Jumaa was arrested on May 26 in Qalqiliya by the elite police Gideonim unit after being released from Palestinian Authority detention, where he had been held since the attack. According to the indictment, Jumaa and two accomplices planned and executed the shooting, targeting Israeli vehicles. The military stated, "After locating Ido Zoldan’s vehicle, they approached it in their own vehicle, and one of the accomplices fired at him from close range with the intent of killing him." Zoldan, 29, was killed, and the attackers fled. The other two perpetrators were arrested by Israeli forces on the night of the attack and later released in a 2025 hostage deal.
