Pennsylvania man arrested in alleged ISIS-linked terror plot

Jonathan Hunter Kramer, 21, of Valencia, Pennsylvania, was arrested on September 12 in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, on charges of acquiring a firearm and ammunition for an alleged ISIS-linked terrorist plot. Federal authorities state that Kramer, who used the online persona “Hamza Al Rashid,” had discussed preparing for a “mission” and sought a weapon. The arrest occurred on Rosh Hashanah, with FBI agents intercepting him with rifle magazines and ammunition. A subsequent search of his hotel room and residence uncovered a semiautomatic rifle, additional ammunition, and numerous knives. Kramer had been previously investigated in 2023 for an alleged mass-casualty plot. U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche stated, “Their outstanding work thwarted this alleged attack before innocent lives could be lost.” The Justice Department is seeking his detention, citing him as a danger to the community.
