Police arrest man from Bat Yam in connection to Japanika restaurant attacks in central Israel

An 18-year-old from Bat Yam was arrested on Thursday night in connection with a fragmentation grenade attack on a Japanika restaurant in Kiryat Ono on July 13. This incident was part of a series of attacks targeting Japanika branches in central Israel, which included two grenade explosions, a pipe bomb, and attempted arson. The Japanika chain is owned by businessman Barak Abramov. Police also arrested Yossi Musli, a suspected crime boss of the Musli family, on Tuesday night in connection with these attacks. The Musli organization is suspected of involvement in illegal gambling, extortion, and other criminal activities, with an estimated worth of over half a billion shekels. Police stated that the grenades used were stolen IDF equipment.
