Police probe suspected grenade attack on Tel Aviv residential building
An explosion heard across northern Tel Aviv was caused by a suspected fragmentation grenade thrown at a residential tower, according to Hebrew media reports.
An explosion, suspected to be from a fragmentation grenade, occurred in Tel Aviv's upscale Park Tzameret neighborhood in the early hours of Thursday, according to Hebrew media. The blast was heard across northern Tel Aviv and surrounding areas, including Ramat Gan, and reportedly caused damage to the entrance of a residential tower. No injuries were reported.
“It was loud, but it did not sound like an impact or a grenade,” a local resident told Ynet.
The Tel Aviv District police have launched an investigation, stating they believe the incident has a criminal background.
