Police uncover smuggling network used for explosives in West Bank, 14 arrested

Fourteen suspects were arrested on Monday after a multi-month covert operation by Border Police, IDF intelligence, and Shin Bet uncovered a smuggling network. This network allegedly supplied dual-use materials, including 175 kg of explosive materials, to terrorist organizations in the West Bank for manufacturing explosive devices. The operation, launched due to a rise in explosive device threats causing IDF and Border Police casualties, found an Israeli citizen and several Palestinians allegedly smuggled millions of shekels worth of materials. The suspects also reportedly failed to fully report their income to tax authorities. The investigation is ongoing, with further arrests anticipated.
