Pro-Palestinian Stanford University Student Becomes Advocate for Israel

Taryn Thomas, an African-American student at Stanford University, has transitioned from pro-Palestinian advocacy to becoming an advocate for Israel. Initially involved in pro-Palestinian activism since 2020, she believed in the interconnectedness of liberation movements, stating, "Our liberation is bound to theirs. No one is free until Palestine is free." However, the Hamas attacks on October 7th, 2023, and subsequent campus events prompted her to question her previous stance.
