Radical Hasidics enter Palestinian village housing biblical tombs, sparking violent clashes

Followers of Rabbi Eliezer Berland entered the Palestinian village of Kifl Haris in the West Bank overnight Monday without coordinating with the IDF, leading to violent clashes. The village houses tombs traditionally associated with biblical figures Joshua and Caleb. Palestinians threw stones at the visitors, injuring two members of the group, who were subsequently hospitalized. Five individuals were detained for questioning by police. One follower stated, "Every time, Arabs throw stones there and cause trouble," adding, "We will continue going there with full force, and the army will not stop us." Another follower indicated that many in the group were military draft evaders, which caused hesitation in contacting emergency services during the confrontation.
