Ransom notes tied to Nancy Guthrie kidnapping released six months into unsolved case

Six months after Nancy Guthrie, mother of "Today" show co-host Savannah Guthrie, vanished from her Arizona home, the Pima County Sheriff's Department released two ransom notes purportedly from her kidnappers. The first note, dated February 2, demanded $4 million in Bitcoin, threatening to increase it to $6 million and kill Nancy if not paid. It included authenticating details like a wristwatch left on the floor and a destroyed floodlight. The second note, received February 6, stated, "She perished shortly after she was taken. We believe it was heart-related. She is buried in nature now." Savannah Guthrie has appealed to the kidnappers to "tell us where to look for her." Investigators are still seeking information about a masked prowler seen on video, whose identity remains unknown, and believe the ransom notes' unique language could help identify the author.
