Rehab center to be built in Tel Aviv for IDF vets suffering traumatic brain injuries

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) and the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) have partnered to construct a new 27,555-square-foot rehabilitation center in Tel Aviv for IDF veterans with moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries. The facility, expected to open by 2030, will accommodate approximately 60 veterans at a time, offering multidisciplinary treatments. FIDF has committed $10 million towards the estimated $24 million project, with the IMOD providing additional funding. This initiative addresses the increasing rehabilitation needs stemming from nearly three years of conflict, during which over 300 soldiers sustained traumatic brain injuries. The center will replace Beit Marguza, a facility established in Jaffa in 1973. Maj. Gen. (Res.) Nadav Padan, FIDF CEO, stated, "Our responsibility to Israel’s wounded veterans does not end when they leave the battlefield."
