Syria is cautiously considering providing military assistance to Saudi Arabia in its war against the Houthis in Yemen, Reuters reported, citing a US official and a military source familiar with the matter.Options under consideration include helping defend the kingdom against attacks and deploying troops to support Saudi-backed Yemeni forces fighting the Houthis.However, a Syrian diplomat clarified that while Damascus supports Saudi Arabia in the face of Houthi attacks, the Syrian government remains primarily focused on domestic challenges, particularly rebuilding the country after the civil war.
