Republicans, Trump shouldn’t hide from Iran war messaging, Florida legislators say

At the Republican convention in Dallas, Florida legislators Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Randy Fine asserted that Republicans and Donald Trump should not avoid discussing the Iran war and Trump's international policies. Scott stated, "I wouldn’t shy away from what he’s done internationally," highlighting Trump's actions in "holding Iran accountable, by making sure NATO is stronger, by holding China accountable." Fine acknowledged the unpopularity of the Iran conflict due to rising gas prices but emphasized the importance of confronting Iran, which he described as a country that "has said for 47 years they want to create a nuclear weapon to kill us all." Both lawmakers also stressed the Republican Party's efforts against antisemitism, contrasting it with the Democratic Party, and criticized countries, including the UK, for cutting trade with Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and eastern Jerusalem.
