Right-wing activists protest Ofer Winter’s independent Knesset run with wreath outside his home

Right-wing activists protested Ofer Winter's independent Knesset run by placing a wreath outside his Mitzpe Netofa home on Monday. The wreath, addressed to "Gali Baharav-Miara," suggested his independent candidacy could weaken the right-wing bloc. Winter, chairman of the People of Israel Party, submitted his party's list despite pressure to unite with other right-wing factions. The Am Yisrael party responded, stating, "A flower wreath should be sent to those who, for four years, did not send a dismissal letter to the attorney general." Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized Winter, saying, "The only ones who could benefit from Winter's refusal to unite with the national camp are Gali Baharav-Miara and Yitzhak Amit and their colleagues on the left." Winter maintains his party is part of the right-wing camp and will recommend Benjamin Netanyahu for prime minister, but has set conditions, including the passage of a conscription law before joining a government.
