Rival driver stops during China GT race to pull crashed racer from burning Ferrari

During a China GT Championship race in Shanghai on Saturday, Dutch driver Loek Hartog stopped his car to rescue British rival Ollie Millroy from his burning Ferrari after a multi-car crash. Millroy sustained multiple injuries, including five broken ribs and a broken collarbone. Millroy credited Hartog, stating, "I am still alive tonight, entirely thanks to one man." Hartog explained he acted instinctively, saying, "When I saw a car turning into a huge fireball far ahead, there wasn't really a decision to make." Race organizers announced an investigation into the incident, citing shortcomings in emergency response and medical support. Millroy's team, AAI Motorsport, criticized the handling of the accident and stated they would no longer compete in China GT events.
