Sa'ar confirms Israel will not expel Palestinians from Gaza Strip during visit to Slovenia
Sa’ar was present in Slovenia for the opening of the first Israeli embassy in the capital of Ljubljana and to meet with his Slovenian counterpart for the signing of a cooperation agreement.
During a visit to Slovenia, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar confirmed that Israel has no plans to expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, stating, “First of all, we are not planning to expel or to deport anyone from the Gaza Strip.” He clarified that Israel would not oppose Palestinians voluntarily leaving Gaza if another country accepts them. Sa'ar also dismissed a genocide complaint filed against him by the Hind Rajab Foundation, asserting the organization's ties to terrorist groups and attributing genocidal intent to those seeking Israel's destruction. While in Ljubljana for the opening of Israel's first embassy, Sa'ar and Slovenian Foreign Minister Tone Kajzer signed a cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration in education, science, business, and tourism, with Kajzer emphasizing Slovenia's commitment to dialogue with Israel.
