Sa’ar visits Ecuador, Colombia to strengthen Israel-Latin America ties

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar began a diplomatic visit to Ecuador and Colombia on Wednesday, aiming to strengthen Israel's ties in Latin America. This marks the first visit by an Israeli foreign minister to Ecuador in 44 years. Sa’ar will attend the inauguration of Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella, where he will hold bilateral meetings with regional leaders. The visit follows a recent agreement to relocate Colombia's embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Sa’ar stated, "Through determined and systematic diplomatic efforts, we have succeeded in strengthening and renewing Israel's relations with many countries across Latin America."
