Sacha Baron Cohen brings Ali G character back to life at Wimbledon

British Jewish actor Sacha Baron Cohen revived his satirical character Ali G for a surprise appearance at the Wimbledon Championships final. Dressed in an all-white tracksuit, Baron Cohen, in character, described Wimbledon as “the World Cup of something called tennis, which is like a crap version of ping pong.” He also claimed Prince Harry owed him money, stating, “because I was his dealer at Eton.” This appearance follows reports of a new Ali G film in production. The character, known for his Multicultural London English dialect, first appeared in 1998 and later starred in his own series and a 2002 film.
