Sara Netanyahu threatens Yair Golan with NIS 1M suit after his defamation warning

Sara Netanyahu has issued a legal warning to Yair Golan, threatening a NIS 1 million lawsuit for defamation, following his own threat of a lawsuit against her. Netanyahu's attorney, Uriel Nizri, rejected Golan's accusation that she spread conspiracy theories about his actions on October 7, calling the claim "wild lies." The letter stated, "Mrs. Netanyahu never spread conspiracy theories, but spoke only about solid facts that are undisputed in Israel." She demanded a public apology from Golan, the removal of his statements, and NIS 100,000 in compensation to be donated to a pre-military academy. This response comes after Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, sent Netanyahu a warning over her remarks on Channel 14, where she implied he might have had advance knowledge of the October 7 attack, stating, "Early in the morning, you were already there, dressed and ready. At a very early hour, when others did not know, such as the prime minister." Golan had demanded an apology and compensation for Nova music festival survivors, threatening a NIS 2.5 million lawsuit.
