Saudi attacks target Houthi military sites at Hodeidah port city in Yemen
The Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV said Saudi strikes hit facilities belonging to the state telecommunications corporation in Hodeidah city.
The Saudi-led coalition conducted airstrikes on Houthi military sites in Yemen's Hodeidah port city on Friday. These strikes were in response to recent Houthi attacks on Saudi shipping and a Saudi airport, as well as an announced naval blockade. The coalition aims to prevent a return to full-scale conflict, following a 2022 truce that significantly reduced fighting in the war-torn country. Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV reported that Saudi strikes hit state telecommunications facilities in Hodeidah and also targeted Kamaran Island off Yemen's western coast.
