Senior Iranian official: In the event of another war, we will target American political targets

A senior Iranian security official told the Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), that Tehran is preparing for the possibility of an attack by the United States and Israel and does not trust diplomatic overtures from Washington. According to the official, pressure is mounting among segments of the Iranian public to take decisive action to lift the American naval blockade, citing the right to self-defense.The official added that Iran has issued instructions to its operational commanders stating that, in the event of another full-scale war involving the assassination of senior officials and attacks on civilians, it would consider American political targets, targets associated with parties participating in the fighting, and their infrastructure legitimate targets for attack. According to the official, the list of targets has already been prepared.
