Settler suspected of attacks on Palestinians released from house arrest, barred from West Bank

Tal Yinon Dardik, a settler suspected of involvement in attacks against Palestinians and other nationalist-motivated offenses, including a suspected attack in March, will be released from house arrest. This decision was made by IDF Central Command Chief Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth on Monday. Dardik will be barred from approaching the West Bank. The Jerusalem District Court had previously upheld an administrative restriction order against Dardik, with Judge Avraham Dan Rubin stating, “The starting point in the proceeding before me is that the respondent poses a danger which justifies full house arrest.” However, the court also ruled that Dardik could not be required to serve house arrest at his mother-in-law's home in the West Bank settlement of Adei Ad without her consent.
