Seven family members located after suffering heat exhaustion in Nahal Gov area of southern Israel
Volunteers had begun the search earlier in the day, after a woman had contacted emergency services after losing contact with her husband and their six kids.
A family of seven, including a husband and six children aged nine to 19, was reported missing in the Nahal Gov area of southern Israel on Monday afternoon after experiencing heat exhaustion. The family had begun hiking from Kibbutz Ir Ovot in the Arava at 8:00 a.m., despite intense heat and extreme weather conditions. The wife contacted emergency services after losing contact with her husband, who had initially informed her they were carrying a large amount of water. Volunteers from the Arava's Search and Rescue unit initiated a search operation.
