Shin Bet, Police dismantle broad West Bank Hamas network recruiting armed cells across region

A joint operation by the Shin Bet, Israel Police, and IDF uncovered a large Hamas-linked terrorist network in the West Bank and Jerusalem, leading to the arrest of over 30 suspects. The infrastructure allegedly recruited armed cells to conduct attacks against Israeli civilians and security personnel. Among those arrested were Jerusalem residents Tzabih Abu Tzabih and Rashid Rishq, identified as members of Shabab al-Aqsa, a Hamas-affiliated organization. Rishq and Tzabih Abu Tzabih are accused of establishing the network and recruiting cells, with plans including a shooting attack in Eizariya and an attack at a Modi'in restaurant. Weapons and combat equipment were seized during the investigation. Indictments have been filed against five Jerusalem suspects for various terrorism-related offenses, with more expected for West Bank residents.
