Shootout between Ukrainian security agencies that injured three under investigation, Zelensky says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced an investigation into a shootout in Kyiv between the SBU Security Service and the Defense Ministry's HUR Military Intelligence Directorate, which injured three HUR members. The conflict stemmed from the nine-day disappearance of a Russian nationalist activist fighting with Ukrainian forces, who claimed the SBU detained him and coerced a confession of collaboration with Russian intelligence, which he later retracted. The SBU stated it was preventing a Moscow-orchestrated plot to assassinate Russian anti-Kremlin activists. Zelensky emphasized, "It is important that the truth come out. And that situations like this do not recur." He added that an assessment of the heads of both agencies would be made, noting, "Both acted precisely in a way that should not have happened." Two servicemen have been issued notices of suspicion, and Zelensky dismissed Oleh Khramov, head of the SBU's state secrets department.
