Shroud displaying names of 20,000 Palestinian children unveiled at UN’s NY headquarters – report

A 100-meter-long shroud, displaying the handwritten names of over 20,000 Palestinian children, was unveiled at the UN headquarters in New York. The exhibition, titled “The Shroud of the Children of Gaza,” was organized by interfaith groups and the Palestinian delegation to document young victims and prevent them from becoming mere statistics. Palestinian Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour stated, “In the Gaza Strip alone, a million Palestinian children are still alive. They need food,” and called for humanitarian aid, Israeli army withdrawal, and Palestinian freedom. The event, which included religious leaders and calls for a ceasefire, is part of a campaign that will travel to other U.S. cities, with organizers seeking a permanent UN display for the shroud.
