Slovenia beats Israel 4–0 in Davis Cup Tennis

Israel's Davis Cup team lost 4–0 to Slovenia in a recent tie held outdoors on clay courts at the Tennis Academy Breskvar in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This defeat relegates Israel to the World Group II playoffs in February 2027. The tournament, held on September 18-19, saw Israel's top player, Amit Vales, lose to Bor Artnak 6–3, 6–4. Orel Kimhi also fell to Filip Planinšek 7–6, 6–1, despite an early lead. In the doubles match, Daniel Cuckierman and Ofek Shimanov lost to Sebastian Dominko and Ziga Sesko 6–3, 6–7, 6–4, securing Slovenia's victory. The final singles match, played "for fun," saw Dominko defeat Ben Weintraub 6–3, 6–3.
