Spain boosts security in Ceuta as calls appear online for another mass border rush

Spain has increased its police and military presence in Ceuta following online calls for another mass border breach on Saturday, two weeks after a significant influx of migrants. Soldiers and police are patrolling the enclave, while Moroccan security personnel are also monitoring the border. The previous rush on July 30 saw over 72,000 people enter Ceuta, with at least 96 fatalities. Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska stated, "We'll continue to deploy whatever personnel are necessary to restore normality as soon as possible and prevent events like those of July 30 from happening again." Approximately 5,000 migrants remain in Ceuta, with most asylum cases rejected. Morocco has also stepped up security, warning it will prosecute organizers of any new crossing attempts. Some migrants who previously entered Ceuta are now advising against further attempts, with one stating, "Don't cross now, my brothers. You're only going to suffer."
