Stan Greenspon Holocaust Education Center and Gratz College announce strategic academic partnership

The Stan Greenspon Holocaust Education Center (SGC) and Gratz College have formed a strategic academic partnership to enhance Holocaust education and combat antisemitism in secondary schools. Gratz College will serve as the academic home for the SGC’s Certification in Holocaust Pedagogy (CHP), providing extensive resources and experience. The CHP, which has already trained nearly 80 educators in North Carolina, offers a 10-month program culminating in a travel learning experience in Poland, and will expand its reach nationally. Katie Cunningham, SGC director of education, stated, "Gratz brings extensive resources and experience in Holocaust and antisemitism education that will make our programs even stronger." The collaboration will also explore educator pipelines into Gratz’s graduate programs and support the planned Holocaust Museum of the Carolinas. The first cohort under this partnership launches on September 19.
