The Supreme Court, sitting as the High Court of Justice, ruled by a majority not to uphold the Central Elections Committee's decision to disqualify MK Ofer Cassif, determining that he is eligible to run in the elections for the 26th Knesset.Seven justices supported the decision, while two dissented. The majority ruled that despite their objections to Cassif's statements and actions, the evidence presented did not meet the required "critical mass" threshold for disqualification.
