Suspect shot in leg by Border Police at Shuafat crossing near Jerusalem

On Thursday evening, Border Police officers at the Shuafat crossing near Jerusalem shot a suspect in the leg after he failed to comply with orders to stop. The individual, whose identity was not released, was behaving suspiciously, according to the Israel Police spokesperson. No officers were injured during the incident.

In a separate event on the same evening, Border Police at the Tunnels Checkpoint, also in the Jerusalem area, arrested a Hebron resident. This individual was found to be carrying a knife after refusing to stop for inspection. He has been transferred to security forces for questioning.
