Suspected car ramming at checkpoint near Hebron, IDF searching for perpetrator

A suspected attempted car ramming occurred on Friday near the Tarqumiyah crossing, north of Hebron in the West Bank. A driver reportedly tried to run over police officers at a checkpoint and then fled. IDF forces are currently searching for the suspect. An initial vehicle stopped for inspection was determined not to be involved. This incident follows a separate attempted car ramming near Hebron in early July, where a suspect was apprehended after allegedly trying to attack and run over an Israeli citizen near Beit Ummar; no injuries were reported in that incident.
