Teacher shot in school parking lot near Beersheba, hospitalized in moderate condition

A 40-year-old teacher was shot in the parking lot of a school in Hura, northeast of Beersheba, on Thursday morning, with students present nearby. Magen David Adom paramedics transported the victim to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where they were hospitalized in moderate condition. The shooter's identity and motive are currently unknown. The school temporarily suspended classes, stating, "This is an extremely serious incident and a crossing of a clear red line." They emphasized that "Harming a teacher or any staff member is an attack on the heart of the educational system, and we will not tolerate it."
