Tel Aviv municipal parking fees to rise 20% starting August 1

The Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality will increase parking fees at municipal facilities by 20% starting August 1, as reported by Kan News. This change affects parking lots managed by Ahuzot HaHof, a municipal company. The municipality cited rising operating and maintenance costs, including wages, security, and electricity, as well as reduced revenue from minute-by-minute billing, for the decision. Tel Aviv-Jaffa residents will still receive discounted rates, though some specific facility discounts will be reduced or have their start times adjusted. For example, the hourly rate for residents will rise from NIS 5 to NIS 6, and for non-residents from NIS 20 to NIS 24.
