Three dead after helicopter crash in Los Angeles, fire department says

A helicopter crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday resulted in three fatalities and one person hospitalized with unknown injuries. The incident occurred in the San Fernando Valley, between two commercial buildings near the 9100 block of N. Mason Avenue, with the aircraft landing on shipping containers and parked vehicles. A large fire erupted post-crash, spreading to nearby vehicles. While unconfirmed, media reports suggest the helicopter was a television news aircraft, possibly covering a separate bus collision in the area. The NTSB and FAA are investigating the circumstances. LAFD Captain Branden Silverman stated, "The helicopter itself, it's pretty well destroyed, so we are going to have to go through the rubble and see how many victims there were on board."
