Three Israelis arrested for transporting Palestinians accused of illegally entering country

Three Israeli citizens were arrested over the past week in separate incidents for allegedly transporting 24 Palestinians who had reportedly entered Israel illegally. In the first incident, Binyamin police on Highway 1 stopped a minibus carrying 16 Palestinians from Tulkarm without permits; the driver, a Kafr Aqab resident, was arrested and the vehicle seized. Subsequently, Modi'in Illit police on Highway 443 arrested a Beersheba woman in her 40s after finding four Palestinians hidden in her vehicle. The next morning, another Beersheba woman, in her 30s, was arrested on the same highway for allegedly concealing four more Palestinians in her vehicle. Both women's detentions were extended by a court, and their vehicles were seized.
