Three minors arrested under suspicion of repeated vandalism against Jerusalem Reform synagogue

Police arrested three minors on Wednesday in connection with a series of vandalism incidents at the Kol Haneshama Reform synagogue in Jerusalem's Baka neighborhood. The arrests followed several acts of vandalism over approximately a month, including a break-in during Yom Kippur where a pride flag was removed, and eggs thrown at worshippers during Rosh Hashanah. Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion expressed "shock at the earlier attacks" and pledged the city's support, with Deputy Mayor Yossi Havilio also addressing the congregation. The synagogue, known for its support of the LGBTQ community, has faced similar incidents in previous years, including a rock thrown during Simchat Torah in 2018.
