Tony Blair disputes former UK UN envoy claims that he pushed PA to remove 'Palestine' from textbook

Former British ambassador to the UN, Jeremy Greenstock, claimed on the David Hearst Podcast that former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair asked the Palestinian Authority (PA) to remove the word 'Palestine' from schoolbooks. Greenstock stated Blair allegedly made this request on behalf of the Board of Peace to facilitate an agreement with Israel. However, a spokesperson for Tony Blair vehemently denied these claims, calling them "not true and a complete fabrication." The spokesperson added, "Mr Blair has made no such request, nor has he conveyed or endorsed any proposal to this effect." Greenstock also made other contested claims during the podcast, including that Israeli forces "clearly killed deliberately" World Central Kitchen workers, a claim for which no evidence has been presented, and called for an end to trade with West Bank settlements.
