Tropper-Hendel alliance to demand National Security Ministry portfolio in next gov't

Former ministers Chili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel announced the platform for their new party, The Zionist Home-The Reservists, on Wednesday. They stated that a key condition for joining the next government would be Hendel receiving the National Security Ministry portfolio. Other conditions include forming a “Zionist government” and passing a universal conscription law requiring Haredim to serve in the IDF. Hendel emphasized the government's failure in recruitment, stating, “The government failed in recruiting all Israelis.”

• Their platform, dubbed the Star of David Plan, includes proposals for education, universal conscription, cost of living, settlement expansion, and strengthening governmental checks and balances.
• They pledge to incentivize military service and sanction draft evaders, while also promoting a “Zionist constitution” and limiting the prime minister's term.
• The party also committed to rehabilitating northern border communities within 90 days of forming a government.
